Three principles guide how Cloak is designed.

Unseen

A swap submitted through Cloak is not broadcast to the public mempool before it's included in a block. It travels through a protected relay path instead, so front-running bots don't get a preview of your trade to act on.

Proven savings

Every protected swap shows an estimate of the MEV/slippage exposure it avoided, compared to routing the same trade through the public mempool. You see the number the fee is paying for — not just a claim that protection happened.

Fee only when it works

The protection fee applies only to swaps that actually executed through the protected path. If protected routing isn't available for a given trade and Cloak falls back to standard routing, no protection fee is charged for that swap. See Fee Policy for the exact conditions.
