How It Works
Four steps, from quote to settled swap.
1. Compare
Cloak queries liquidity sources across Robinhood Chain and compares quotes for your trade pair, the same way any DEX aggregator sources the best available price.
2. Shield
Instead of broadcasting your signed transaction to the public mempool, Cloak submits it through a protected relay path. This is the step that keeps your pending trade from being visible to front-running bots before it's included in a block.
3. Review
Before you sign, you see:
- The quoted price and expected output
- An estimate of the MEV/slippage exposure avoided by routing through the protected path
- The protection fee that will apply (only if the protected path is used — see Fee Policy)
4. Sign
You sign with your own wallet, same as any on-chain swap. Cloak does not custody funds — your wallet submits every transaction.
Protected relay availability can vary by network conditions. If the protected path isn't available for your trade, Cloak falls back to standard routing and does not charge the protection fee for that swap.
